Snakes on a m***********ing plane…

Snakes on a m***********ing plane…

Can you take rearsets on a plane in your travel suitcase or hand luggage?
Or would security take them from me?

Dont fancy having to pay 40 euro to stick them in the planes cargo hold.

First off (hopefully the last)

First off (hopefully the last)

Came off the Viagra this morning on the way to work. Approaching a roundabout, not paying attention and braked too late/hard, back wheel locked up (I think) and the bike went from under me. One mirror is fooked, and I’m a bit battered and bruised, but I’ll live.
Probably preaching to the converted here, but pay attention lads, the road is VERY unforgiving if your mind starts to wander.

Cheers,
sombaht

I bought a new bike but the previous rider was short and took about an inch out f the saddle. I’m 6″2 so looking to reset the saddle as my legs are quite cramped as is. Anyone know anyone who can do this???

I’m in Dublin near Blanch.

Thanks

Vfr 800 vtec not starting. Ideas? (With video)

Vfr 800 vtec not starting. Ideas? (With video)

Bad earth? Reg rec? The buzzing sound is coming from the low beam relay.

I had this issue previously and it sorted itself when I took all the relays and block connectors apart and cleaned them. At that time I noticed that the connector from the stator to the reg/rec had melted (common fault on these apparently). So I replaced that block connector. No issues since then!

Last week I started the bike and left it running to keep the battery charged up as I haven’t been using it that much. Went back outside after a while and she was dead, plenty of fuel left. Key still in the “on” position. I couldn’t get anything out of it so a**umed the battery ran down? Charger won’t charge the battery, says it’s full. The battery was replaced the last time I had this issue, only a few months ago.

I have noticed another supposedly common issue with these, corrosion of an earth wire under the left side fairing. I’m awaiting to reroute that earth.

Any other ideas?

Gravel Church St Dublin

Gravel Church St Dublin

Be careful, some p**** dumped gravel on Church Street. It’s at the mouth of the junction with the quays on the centre line, so anyone filtering up to the lights will hit it.
