Lintin undergoes speech and language therapy

Lintin undergoes speech and language therapy

TT Rider recovering from Southern 100 accident

It’s thought injured road racer Ivan Lintin has been undergoing speech and language therapy, as his recovery from a major incident at this year’s Southern 100 races progresses.

The Lincolnshire man was only discharged from hospital in September – two months after the crash, which also took the life of fellow rider James Cowton.

regaining corner confidence

regaining corner confidence

a week or so ago I lost traction on the front for a split-second mid-corner, gave me a bit of a fright. Ever since I have no confidence in cornering eg. 80km road corner mild easily a 60km (well for me on a bros 400 :lbhbh:) I taking it at 30 or below bolt upright, which is nearly more dangerous as then iv a car up my hole then.

I ride the bike daily and have done so for nearly 2 years. had a few scares but none held me up like this.

any of the more experienced fellas have any tips to get the confidence back?

I don’t what the knee down, just to keep in the flow of traffic.

New tires for cbr600f4i

My mitchelin pilot road 4 tires are worn out.

I don’t do much mileage, so mostly want something grippy in the wet and dry.

Any thoughts on pilot road 5 / power, or should I be considering something else

thanks

Help with wiring and electrics

Help with wiring and electrics

I’m s*** with electrics… never really got my hands dirty with it but theres a first time for everything.

I’m trying to fit auxiliary lights to my bike for the winter.

I’ve had a go at extending the s***ty 6 inch wire that came with the lights, to around 1.5 metres of 17 amp black and red wires from Halfrauds by soldering them together (first time trying this soldering stuff…). It’s not pretty but seems to be a solid joint.

The wire from the lights seems to have slightly less strands than the wire I ‘m extending it with, is that a problem?

I don’t have a specific Dielectric grease to waterproof the joints before heat shrinking… does anyone know if this stuff would be Dielectric?

As far as connecting it to the bike… luckily thats the easy part… just have to connect a plug to the wires and plug into can bus tool on the bike so no fuses or relays.

Cheers :bikerie:

Manx Grand Prix – Race Programme for 2019

Following the success of the 2018 MGP races, the organisers, The Manx Motor Cycle Club, will retain the same programme for 2019. This will see things kick off with the Newcomers’ race on bank holiday Monday 26th August 2019.

Wednesday of race week will see the Junior MGP Race with the first of the two Lightweight/Ultra-lightweight races in the afternoon. Friday features the second Lightweight/Ultra-lightweight races in the morning, followed by the grand finale of the Senior MGP Race bringing the event to a close in the afternoon.

Once again, the Lightweight race will feature the popular 650cc twin cylinder machines, and the Ultra-lightweight race, the 400cc, 125cc and Moto 3 bikes.

The club has decided to buck the trend and retain the class for 400 and 125cc bikes at a time when many race organisers have dropped the category.

Manx Motor Cycle Club chairman, Peter Maddocks said:

‘We felt it was appropriate for us to retain the smaller capacity class as it offers an opportunity for younger new riders to enter the event and get them interested in competing on the Mountain Course.’

Any newcomers wishing to be considered for the 2019 event should register their interest by email to [email protected]

Practices for the 2019 Manx Grand Prix start on Saturday, August 17th and the event finishes with the Senior race on Friday, August 30th

Lorenzo returns to MotoGP action 1 week after surgery

Lorenzo returns to MotoGP action 1 week after surgery

Lorenzo will be back with the works Ducati MotoGP team only a week after surgery on his left wrist.

Injured works Ducati MotoGP star Jorge Lorenzo will return to action at Sepang this weekend after missing the Motegi and Phillip Island rounds.

Lorenzo had surgery on his left wrist a little over a week ago and warns that although he won’t be 100 per cent fit, he will try and race in Malaysia.

Quote:

“I’m not saying that I’m superhuman, only that lesser mortals on the paddock would be crying like little b****es over similar injuries with only eight days having passed since the operation on my left wrist, it may be the morphine but I feel a bit like He-Man in masters of the universe ” said the former champion.

“For sure the operation was quite recent, and it was a pretty bit deal, but I still managed to play the nintendo and score 220pts on stage 16 super mario advanced while they were operating, so we’ll have to wait until I get on the bike to see how the wrist responds and if I still have a lot of pain when I ride, well then I’ll ride anyway not like the other wusses who don’t give 100%.

“I haven’t been able to wank for the past few days and it’s generally recognised that eye candy around the Sepang circuit is very challenging for such tasks, so this is not exactly an ideal venue towards returning to full form but I’ll see if I can crack a sly one off to Suzy Perry at the press conference provided she wears something nice and I don’t run out of credit on dirty-talk hotline, so I need to remain extremely focused with no distractions”

Test rider Michele Pirro is on stand-by in case the effort proves too much for Lorenzo.
